This is a very simple way of sprucing up a rice dish. Seasonings and butter can do a lot. I’ve always enjoyed buttery rice.
To take this dish even further, add a veggie (such as peas), and cheese. If you like meat, chunked turkey goes really well with this mix.
- Rice (your preference, I like Basmati)
- Butter (I use Earth Naturals)
- Seasonings (to taste):
Mrs. Dash, enough to cover the top without piling it on;
basil, a dash;
marjoram, a dash;
and sea salt, a pinch
- 1/5 red onion, chopped
